Collison and Associates are very pleased to welcome the announcement of Leader funding for West Norfolk.
Lynn Collison is chairman of the new West Norfolk Leader LAG and welcomed the award of £1.921 million to West Norfolk as a substantial boost to the area. In the past only parts of West Norfolk have benefitted from this funding and so this represents a new opportunity for much of the community. Lynn is keen to encourage business and community groups to bring projects forward which focus on the area’s priorities to build a dynamic rural economy. Further details will be available on how to apply for funding once the scheme opens for applications, which is anticipated to happen in June-July 2015, but details of all five successful Norfolk Leader bids are at:
Collison and Associates is also pleased to see that all of rural Norfolk is now covered by Leader, this builds on the work the business carried out on the Norfolk Rural Development Strategy in 2013 which provided the evidence base to focus 5 successful bids covering all of rural Norfolk. The business also wrote the successful bid for the new Essex Rivers Leader group managed by Essex RCC and supported the successful Cambridgeshire Fens bid managed by Cambs ACRE (Martin is also the former Vice Chair of the predecessor Fens Adventurers LAG).
